On July 23, the reporter learned from the Industry Conference of the 4th CCF Quantum Computation Conference that the Department of Economy and Information Technology, in conjunction with relevant departments, will issue the Action Plan of Sichuan Province for the Breakthrough Development of Quantum Technology Industry (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan) in the near future. This is Sichuan's first provincial-level action plan specifically targeting the development of the quantum technology industry in Sichuan. Subsequently, efforts will be made to promote the preparation for the establishment of a provincial-level manufacturing innovation center and the founding of the Sichuan Quantum Technology Industry Association, thus pooling forces for development.

At present, Sichuan is home to 11 research institutions and universities with quantum technology expertise and 16 national- and provincial-level laboratories. It has also attracted high-quality enterprises such as Tianfu Quantum, Zhongwei Daxin, China Cyber Security, Spaceon Electronics, Changhong, Quantum Technologies, and Origin Quantum Instrument, forming a robust industrial foundation. Sichuan's strengths in artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, scientific computing, aerospace, and meteorological prediction also provide ample application scenarios for quantum technology development.

"At present, Sichuan has a total of 38 representative products in the three major fields of quantum technology, 36 of which are at the domestic leading level," introduced an official from the Information Security and Network Development Division of the Department of Economy and Information Technology.

According to the Action Plan, Sichuan intends to propose the overarching goal of building "One Core, Three High-Grounds": to establish itself as the nation's core growth pole for quantum technology industry, an important support high-ground for quantum computing development, a pioneer high-ground for quantum communication and security integration, and an innovation source high-ground for quantum precision measurement.
